Performance Analysis of M-QAM Scheme Combined With Multiuser Diversity Over Nakagami- Fading Channels

چکیده
In this letter, we consider an M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) scheme combined with multiuser diversity over Nakagami-m fading channels. Assuming that delayed but error-free signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) feedback is available, we derive closed-form formulas for the average transmission rate and the average bit error rate which are also shown to be generalizations of many previous results. Through numerical studies and simulations, we check the validity of our analysis. In addition, we investigate the impact of the Nakagami fading parameter m and feedback delay on system performance.

Performance analysis of maximal-ratio combining receive diversity scheme over Nakagami-0.5 fading channels and its application to the multiuser detection for direct sequence-code division multiple access systems is presented in this paper. A new M-estimator, which performs well in the heavy-tailed impulsive noise, is proposed to robustify the detector. Further, the performance of Eigen mode tra...

Channel adaptive M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) schemes have been developed to provide higher average link spectral efficiency by taking advantage of the timevarying nature of wireless fading channels. Much of the earlier work on such schemes uses the assu...

M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) is a spectrally efficient modulation scheme, used for video transmission applications in third and forthcoming generations of wireless networks. In the paper, the authors present a unified framework for the error performance of MQAM, employing L-branch equal-gain combining over generalised fading channels, such as Nakagami-m, Rice, Hoyt or Weibull. ...
متن کاملBit Error Rate Performance Analysis of a Threshold-Based Generalized Selection Combining Scheme in Nakagami Fading Channels
The severity of fading on mobile communication channels calls for the combining of multiple diversity sources to achieve acceptable error rate performance. Traditional approaches perform the combining of the different diversity sources using either the conventional selective diversity combining (CSC), equal-gain combining (EGC), or maximal-ratio combining (MRC) schemes. CSC andMRC are the two e...
متن کاملSingle-Carrier Frequency-Domain Equalization for Orthogonal STBC over Frequency-Selective MIMO-PLC channels
In this paper we propose a new space diversity scheme for broadband PLC systems using orthogonal space-time block coding (OSTBC) transmission combined with single-carrier frequency-domain equalization (SC-FDE). To apply this diversity technique to PLC channels, we first propose a new technique for combining SC-FDE with OSTBCs applicable to all dispersive multipath channels impaired by impulsive...
